…Know About It

Snarl is all about being notified of events quickly and easily.  No one wants to be pestered – but at the same time, no-one wants to miss an important appointment, forget to get the milk and bread on the way home, or miss a Facebook update from that old friend you’ve recently caught up with.

Snarl keeps you up to date with what’s going on in the world without intruding on your personal space, and it does it using gorgeous-looking notifications which fade in and out quietly and without fuss.

Notifications Anywhere

You don’t need to be at your computer to see what’s going on.  Have your notifications forwarded to another computer, your smartphone, posted as tweets, emailed to you, displayed on custom hardware… Suffice to say that Snarl can forward notifications to other computers using a variety of network protocols, post them to various web services or do pretty much anything else with them.  If you’re a dab-hand at coding, you can create your own redirects – if you’re not a propeller-head, that’s not a problem either, as many of the existing redirects are configurable and they’ll guide you through the murk.

Awesome App Support

Many applications support Snarl natively so they work right out of the box.  Some applications require little bits of glue (otherwise known as AddOns, Plugins and suchlike) to get them talking to Snarl.

What’s more, because Snarl supports the GNTP protocol (a general purpose notifications-over-the-network thing), it supports applications which use that right out of the box as well.  Awesome.
