Introducing Snarl Web Services…
One thing Snarl has always been missing is robust support for the plethora of Social Media services that are now available. Services such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Feedly, and so on.
There is some support out there, and some of it is very good (Nymphicus for example) but other than that, it’s a bit hit-and-miss.
Well, all that changes with Snarl Web Services. Snarl Web Services is a standalone application that manages the complex OAuth authentication processes that these services use – it then registers each web service with Snarl so you can decide which notifications you’re going to receive.
Work is already well under way with Instagram, Dropbox, App.net and Feedly support implemented. We’re hoping for a Summer 2015 release for version 1.0.
