After many years of development, we’re hugely proud to announce that Snarl R5.0 Beta 1 is now available for download.
Snarl R5.0 marks a massive change to Snarl, not least in that R5.0 is a complete re-write of Snarl from the ground up in C#. It also continues the revolutionary rules concept introduced in R4.0, but extends them even further to include content replacement.
R5.0 also introduces a shift in how we see Snarl being utilised, with a lot more focus being on the Enterprise workspace with Snarl being deployed to hundreds or thousands of corporate PCs to act as a mass-notification system, or even a telemetry-gathering platform. We also see Snarl being used in a similar way to the way HomeKit works on Apple TV whereby Snarl runs on a family PC that’s always on, and acts as a notification hub for when you’re out and about.
We hope you’ll try Beta 1 – it’s taken a long time to get to this point, and we’ve put a lot of our own time and love into it!
